The ducklings

I was going out for a lunch walk when I saw these people, I thought it was quite funny since it looked like a group of ducklings waddling towards the feeding place.

I’m not going to complain too much about this photo since it was a snapshot. I wish I’ve had a 40mm lens on, instead of a 28mm but 🤷🏻‍♂️

Photos in the dark

I really like to take photos in the dark, there is something about the contrast between the black and the light that is attractive to me. I’ve noticed that I like this contrast whenever I take a photo … but I usually avoid the blacks, which is idiotic since I like the results.

Instead, I should really start embracing the blacks and actually try to use the shadows and see what kind of results I get.

Wide mistakes

Today, I failed at getting any decent landscape photos. My challenge today was to use my “ultra” wide angle, it’s probably the most difficult lens I’ve ever tried to use. It requires that I think in a very different way … and I’m failing badly!! Well, I need to try again next weekend.

So, to do anything useful with the images, I decided to play around with editing. To get some inspiration I used some presets, and then played around … and overdid the editing on purpose. So while the photos didn’t turned out as well as I had hoped, I at least got some additional experience in editing.

What, another web site? Yep, I need a place to moan about my photography - and other photo related stuff. I don’t believe the right place to do that, is on my regular blog … so here we are.
